KATE STAVNIICHUK

Born in a small town in Ukraine, realist artist Kate Stavniichuk had to overcome many obstacles. She discovered an interest and natural ability to create art at a young age but lacked the resources for formal lessons and art supplies. Starting as a self-taught artist, she honed and developed her skills to the point where her works started to gain international acclaim and demand from art collectors around the world. At the age of 12, Kate began showing in galleries and participating in international contests, winning numerous awards and prizes.

When she was 21, she ventured from her homeland in Ukraine and started to work professionally as an artist throughout the United States and Europe. By 24 she had her first solo exhibition “Wild Passion” in Kyiv. The exhibition presented an exclusive series of sensual oil paintings that portrayed the unspoken intimate relationship between savage beasts and beautiful feminine characters inhabited in a world of seduction, mystery and desire. Her next solo exhibition “Woman” was displayed as a new series of charcoal drawings in the SOHO district of New York City. With this exhibition, female power and beauty were combined in a unique way on a piece of paper to show woman’s significance and forgotten beauty in the world. Since then, Kate participates in international exhibitions and creates pieces for private collections. A few of her artworks were chosen for the cover of art magazines. She was interviewed for various publications including: Art Knews Magazine, ArtAscent Magazine, Average Art Magazine.

Her strong passion for the arts is expressed through various mediums including oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, graphite and colored pencils. Her creative style is a combination of imagination and realism. Also, her work has a message that goes beyond what is seen with the eyes.

Represented by Vancouver Fine Art Gallery.
